Apple Orchard

Today was Fall Break for both Nico and I. It was Nico's first day of 2 weeks being off to be Mr. Mom and it was my last day home with the boys, as I go back to work tomorrow.
It was a BEAUTIFUL day... we couldn't ask for a better one!! :)
I wanted to go to the Apple Orchard on Friday, but the weather was yucky, but this worked out even better, so dad could come too!!
We went out looking for apples... Eli says this direction.
Eli loved picking his own apples

Here he's asking Mommy if it's a good one?

But he like being on dad's shoulder too, to reach the high ones.
All the while, Zeb just hung out in the front pack, taking it all in. It was a fun day for all of us... but a GREAT beginning of Daddy's Mr. Mom's experience!
(Zeb wanted to watch the cars along the road rather than look at the camera!! :)

Molly's Birthday

Eli's good friend Molly had her 3rd birthday party on Sunday. Eli loves birthday parties, so he was pumped! It was a Princess Themed party. Here's the princess in her new birthday Princess gear!! After Eli realized he couldn't open Molly's presents, the next thing he looked forward to was cake. I know it's hard to really see in this picture, but both Molly and Eli loved the frosting... they did eat a little cake too!!

Today, Monday, is officially Molly's Birthday!! Happy Birthday Molly!! We love you!!

Etter Baby Shower

My teaching partner Tammy's sister-in-law Angie is going to have a baby in December. Angie is Keenan's teacher and Nico worked with her for a year when he was at Hickory Center. Needless to say, we are SUPER excited for her and Mark.
Tammy is a PARTY MASTER!! With her planning and the help of her other sister-in-laws, a GREAT shower was in store!! Lots of family, friends, food, games, gifts and goodies!! Thanks Etter family for letting us be a part of that special event!!

Pumpkin Patch with Aunt Andrea

Since I was running out of time on my maternity leave, we wanted to take a trip to Indy to see Aunt Andrea and Uncle Andy (but he had to work) So we planned a trip down and she planned a VERY FUN adventure for us. Between the hay ride, pumpkin patch, jumping pillow and hay stacksEli and Zeb didn't know what was their favorite. But they did LOVE being with Aunt Andrea
And maybe even being with mom... at least a little.
It was a beautiful day, a beautiful setting, beautiful kids (they are mine, so of course I think that) and a beautiful Aunt. We got such WONDERFUL pictures.
Thanks Andrea for such a GREAT day!!

Fall Get Together

It's taken us a few months, but we finally found a day for the Hunsches, Ankenbrucks, and us to get together. We thought pumpkin carving would be fun. Molly was a trooper, she was the only kid who actually LIKED to stick her hand in the pumpkin. The only reason we have this pic of Eli is we told him he didn't have to actually touch anything inside.
The finished products...
And Nico hanging out with the little boys while the carving was happening.

We all had a good time!!

The Great Zoo Halloween

Saturday was my mom's birthday. One of her favorite things to do is to take the kids to the zoo... especially the Great Zoo Halloween. So we decided to combine the two, her birthday celebration and the Zoo. We went early b/c of my little ones, but it was still super fun!!

Flash Gordon and Captain America led the way with a small giraffe to follow!!
Keenan and Eli both loved the corn maze... we did it a few times.
Then of course we had to have some cousin pics, family pics, and birthday girl pics.
Hope you had a GREAT birthday mom!!

Punkin' shopping

On a chilly Saturday morning, we went to a local pumpkin farmer to get our pumpkins for the season. Eli loved all the pumpkins and had a hard time choosing his favorite. Here's some pics of Eli and the pumpkins he loved!

Boys Sleep Over

Friday night, Eli and Nico had Johnny and JR over for a night of football and video games... and that was just the big boys. :) They went to dinner, headed to the CHS football game, and played before it was time for the little boys to head to bed so the big boys played some Madden... just like college.
A good time was had by boys of all ages!! Thanks guys!! I know my boys are excited about the Basketball Sleep Over coming soon!!
