Eli and Paw Paw

Really this post should have been a few back, but I had to find the pictures!! :) A couple Friday's ago, Kenny called and told us Cora, Keenan and Amanda were sick and he could watch Eli but he didn't want him to get sick. So we needed to find a babysitter... Paw Paw to the rescue. :)

My dad was off that day, so the two of them and a WONDERFUL day together!! They played, watched Lawerence Welk together (Eli loved it) had some chicken noodle soup,

read books, napped together... all in all it was a GREAT day for them both!! Here's Eli looking pretty satisfied with a super fun day with Paw Paw!!

Eli and PBJ

Eli is like his dad and he LOVE peanut butter!! We like to give him spoonfuls of it and watch him smack his lips. As much as he likes peanut butter and bread, who knows why we've never put them together before this weekend!! The Hendricks' side of the family (Paw Paw in particular) are big jelly eaters, so of course, we had to add some jelly. He LOVED it and we LOVED the pictures!!

Girls Trip to Cinci Part II

The next day, we went Wedding Dress Shopping. We had a GREAT time. Sahsha found 2 dresses she really likes and she looks WONDERFUL in them.

While I'd LOVE to share the pictures with you, I don't want to spoil the surprise. :) Just know that will look beautiful in which ever one she chooses. Andrea and I were so honored to be there with her... we love you Sahsha!!

Girls Trip to Cinci Part I

Last weekend, Andrea and I made the fun trek (and I'm not being sarcastic, we really did have a fun car ride, thanks to Sandy :) to Cinci to help Sahsha go wedding dress shopping. So we drove down Friday after work. Jason dropped up off at the Newport Levee for a Girls Night Out.

I thought we needed a pictures of the reason we were going dress shopping the next day.

We had a nice dinner and then had some drinks and did some OUTSTANDING people watching.

Here's Sahsha's fashion friend... "Ms. Silver Shoes with black tights"

It was a SUPER FUN night.

Wonderful Husband

Yes that's right, I have a WONDERFUL husband!! And isn't he so hot in this picture!! :)

For those of you that know Nico, that's not a big surprise. Last week, I had a YUCKY week at school... lots of drama, stress, and worry. But to make me feel better, he surprised me with a dozen roses. They were absolutely beautiful!!

He helped me see how even when other parts of my life aren't the greatest, how very lucky I am to have him in my life and put it all in perspective. I love him dearly for that... he's my helper!!

Engagement Party

Donna and Tot threw Jason and Sahsha an Engagement Party on Saturday. Since we were in Indy we came late, but we still were able to get there for the present opening.

Look at the HOT nightie Sahsha got for a present... don't know who was more embarrassed, Sahsha or her dad!! :)

It's always nice to spend time together as a family, especially when we have something so WONDERFUL to celebrate like an upcoming wedding!!

All-Star DJ's Indy Trip

All-Star DJ's has been debating recently about switching from Window's to Mac's. It's been a BIG debate... especially since Nico is such a Window's man. They wanted to check them out and the best place to do that is at the Apple Store in Indianapolis.

So Mike suggested (and Nico went along with) a Husband and Wife All-Star DJ trip to Indy. The plans were for a nice lunch together.

Then hit the mall. At that point though, it was time to split up. :) Denise and I went shopping with the $100.00 each that All-DJ's gave us. :)

The boys checked out the Apple Store. Needless to say after an hour in the Apple Store and a few quick stops at the Sony Store and Sharper Image, the boys were done. So, they hung out at the food court while Denise and I finished up shopping.
A good time was had by all... and they decided to get the Macs :) :)

Fun at Home

The great thing about this year's Christmas Break was that we had almost an entire week AFTER New Year's to spend time together as a family. Here are just some pictures of Nico and Eli playing with each other ...

and all the FUN toys Eli got for Christmas.

Plus it was a chance for mommy to practice with her new camera!!

New Year's Eve 2007

Last New Year's Eve, Eli was a whopping 1 week old. We went to the Hunsches and counted down the New Year with them and their (at that time) 2 month old, Molly. Not too much partying, but lots of celebrating new kiddo's. (boy I'm sure Eli wouldn't have been screaming if mom would have fixed is hat!!)

This year we celebrated again with the Hunsches and Andy and Andrea. We went to dinner at O'Charlies. The kids didn't do too bad. Eli threw his food while Molly threw her toys... good news is they both have pretty decent arms on them!! :)

By the time we got home from dinner is was close to bed time for them both. We did let them play a bit... of course they didn't play with each other, but it was still fun to watch.

After the kids went to bed, we all just hung out and counted down until the New Year. It was wonderful to bring in 2008 with such GREAT friends and family!!

New Kicks

Eli's been walking since about 10 1/2 months but he HATES shoes. He pulls them off every chance he gets. Since he's only been walking around the house, it's not a big deal. But now he wants to walk everywhere, so we needed to get him some shoes!! It's tradition that my mom buys each grandkid their first pair of Nike Shox's. So while on our shopping trip to Chicago we stopped at Niketown and got Eli a pair that Grandma gave to him for his birthday.

Watching him walk the first couple times in them were hilarious. It's like he had 5 lb weights attached to his feet. He's gotten used to them now and realizes he can't pull them off and has stopped trying!! Just more one more instance where my baby is growing into a little boy!! :)
