Mommy, Daddy, and Eli

With school almost over, we are getting antsy to be home with Eli. These last few weeks are NUTS with things to do, but we took a some time to have a day together, just the 3 of us. It was SO WONDERFUL!!

Of course, there had to be dancing involved... Eli LOVES to dance!!

This was my "Bobbiesque" picture... LOVE IT!!

MINE!!

This is Eli's new FAVORITE word... ok doggie is still up there, but MINE is close!! It's SO DARN CUTE. I know eventually it won't be and it will be annoying, but for now, we laugh every time. I think the funniest part is him pointing to himself. You might ask, where does he get this gesture?? For the past 3-4 months, when Eli takes things that are Nico's he says "Mine" and points to himself... hmmmmm I wonder where???

Mother's Day

After dinner, Eli got passed around to get some lovin' from is family. :) It was a WONDERFUL Mother's Day gift for me to see my son SO ABSOLUTELY surround in love. What a GREAT day!!

Uncle Jason, Eli & Peyton

Jason, Sahsha (and Peyton) came home for Mother's Day. It was WONDERFUL to see them!! Before dinner, Eli, Uncle Jason and "doggie" as Eli calls him, spent some quality time together. It was AWESOME!!
Can't you just hear Eli saying "doggie, doggie"

Looking into the Future??

At least this is what his Dedo is hoping for...

Andrea's Family Birthday

Since Andy and Andrea were going on vacation close to her birthday, we just celebrated her birthday on Easter. As said before, who doesn't love a picture of our kid as a present... I hope none of our family because that's what they always get!! :)

Orthodox Easter

We are one of those families that are LUCKY enough to celebrate the resurrection of Christ TWO TIMES!!! We celebrate it in our church on the American Easter, but then again, normally a few weeks later, but this year almost a month later, on the Orthodox Easter too.

There is a traditional game where you knock the ends of an egg trying to break them. If you break both ends of some one's egg you get to keep it. The goal is to try and get as many eggs as possible. We tried to teach Eli.

Look at his hands... Can you tell he's been playing with the eggs???

SURPRISE!!

Andrea's good friend Kate and Andy conspired to surprise for her birthday. They did a AWESOME job!!! Kate even decorated the table with Andrea's favorite flowers. She had no idea. We met up at Kona Grill outside of Indy for some dinner, sushi... yes, even I tried some, and drinks, but more importantly is GREAT company. It was the first time since their wedding I'd gotten to see the WONDERFUL Amy and Kate. It was so great to catch up. Love you guys!!

Every birthday has to have dessert...Think she's excited for it?? :)

PawPaw's Birthday

In honor of PawPaw's birthday Eli got to stay up extra late to celebrate.

Here's Keenan helping PawPaw open his gift from the family... some kind of computer thing that Nico knew Dad wanted... now Nico wants one too.

This is what Eli got PawPaw... who doesn't want a picture of Eli as a gift?? :) :)

Friday Night Out

Boy have our lives changed...I remember when the saying "Friday Night Out" did NOT mean an exciting dinner at Casa's followed by eating ice cream and chasing kids around Jefferson Pointe. The Hunsche's, Andy and Andrea and us all went out and had a good time. Chasing the kids helped work off the ice cream we all ate. All in all it was EVEN BETTER than the "Friday Nights Out" of old.

Here are Eli and his Uncle Andy. He took his turn chasing him too... needless to say they ended up almost at the opposite end of the mall.

HOW CUTE IS SHE????

I think they are scheming... "On 3, you run one way and I'll run the other and it will take 2 of them to catch us!!"

Daddy's Little Helper

As we talk about things that Eli and Nico have in common, we have to add yard work. Nico was raking up some old grass and Eli thought he needed to help.

Might help if you turned the rake over son!! But at least he's trying to help!! :)

Along with yard work is rock work. Again those of you know Nico know he is ANTI mulch and LOVES rocks... looks like he's passed this down to his son. He's taught him well out to pick up the rocks from the grass... and put them in the flower pots. :)

Pull-Up's Anyone?

For those of you that know Nico this is not a big surprise. He's HUGE into the importance of Pull-ups, so is it surprising that he's got Eli doing them already... Not to most of us!!

The good news is that Eli's just as in to them too!!

Visit with the Blakes

The Blakes live in the neighborhood right next to us. So one Thursday it was a nice night and we made the trek on over to visit them. Boy oh boy did Eli have fun with the girls!!

It's great to have family so close!!

Outside with Daddy

As our back trees started to get green the shed a TON of small sticks. Nico got the brilliant idea to pick them all up and make a bomb fire in our chiminea with them. But like I said, there were a lot to he enlisted some help.

Then they had to take a break... that was HARD work!!

Outside Boy...Just the Beginning

Last summer it was hard to be outside with a 6 months old. He didn't do much, but roll around on the blanket. Not the case this summer. He takes after his MawMaw and LOVES to be outside. Here he's out in early May... still a bit chilly, but not enough to deter our son!!

Swinging is one of his FAVORITE activities. He's got one at MawMaw and PawPaw's and our neighbors have one that we use a lot. I have a feeling by the end of the summer, we might be the proud new owner of our own swing set.

Just the beginning of many pictures of Eli with some sort of rake or broom. He LOVES them. He knows where we store it in the garage and goes to it every chance he gets, which makes Daddy pretty excited!!
