As I've already explained, Eli spent all last school year with the
Ginders. Two of his favorite people he met were Grandpa Fred and Grandma Peggy. These two treat Eli as one of
their own grandchildren and Eli
honestly believes they are another set of grandparents. Eli hadn't seen Grandpa and Grandma in a long time, so he was SUPER excited to go fishing with him.
We met some new friends that day too. Kim brought Jen and her boys who just moved here from Kentucky!! Here's the crew on the boat (don't worry, it stayed docked the whole time.)
Grandpa trying to catch some fish with his 2 helpers!!
Eli contemplating jumping in... no just kidding, he was WONDERFUL!!
Eli and Brena feeding the fish in
their own way... with Fruit Loops
Of course we had to have snacks :)
Zeb was wonderful!! He got lots of
lovin' from Grandma and our new friend Jen.
Grandpa, Eli and Brenna cheesing for the camera!!
Ok... at least Brenna is. Grandpa is pretty focused fishing and Eli's focused on feeding his face.
We caught 2 fish the whole time. Here's the one Grandpa caught. And of course all the kids were gone on a nature hike with Kim while he caught it. Luckily, Brenna wanted to head back early, so she got to see the fish... but it doesn't look like she's a fan!!
Besides fishing, there was a play ground, so after we were bored with fishing, off to the playground we went!!
Then I saved the best picture for last...
Here's Brenna and Eli
scheming... I think they were
dividing up Fruit Loops to give to the
fishies. I love the smiles on
their faces.
These two are hilarious together. The both rode with me up to the lake. On the way Brenna tells Eli, " When I was at
Gitchegume (the vacation spot
Ginders go to during the summer) I missed you Eli." Eli then said, "I missed you too Brenna" It was priceless!!
Ginder (and Kurtz) family for taking us fishing. We had a BLAST!!
